THE CANADIAN DEAF SPORTS ASSOCIATION
The Canadian Deaf Sports Association (CDSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of amateur and high-performance Deaf and hard of hearing athletes.
Wink Strategies was hired to create their 2019-2022 communication strategy and manage the operational and practical aspects for 3 years.
2019-2022 COMMUNICATION STRATEGY PLAN
After experiencing significant internal restructuring, The Canadian Deaf Sports Association (CDSA) developed a strategy for the 2017-2022 period. To achieve its goals, the association wanted to have a three-year communication strategy, to guide and contextualize the various actions taken over this period.
Wink Strategies used a step-by-step methodology to create the communication strategy: firstly, understanding the association and its place, then the definition of communication strategy and its main aims. Finally, a roadmap defining all the actions that needed to be taken during the period.
Following the creation of the 2019-2022 communication strategy, one of the actions that was quickly implemented was the creation of a fundraising campaignto raise money for athletes competing in the 2019 winter Deaflympics.
– Production of video clips, presenting athletes experiences
– Creation of a fundraising webpage
– Broadcast on social-networks and online ads
– Creation of a sponsorship system
– Press relations: dedicated press releases and press list
